Saint Motel Lights Up Los Angeles

It's a clear Friday night in LA. I grab some pad thai at Grand Central Market, complete with milk tea (my favorite). Then it's on to the Belasco Theater to catch Saint Motel at the start of their Saint Motelevision Tour. It was great catching up with the guys and they did not disappoint us or the packed crowd on hand.

If you aren't familiar with Saint Motel, AJ, Dak, Greg, and Aaron put out high energy, catchy tunes with skill and an undeniable indie vibe. The guys brought out Mariachi Los Toros to open up their set in style.

Then it was time to give the people what they wanted, and evening of thumping, bouncing and leaving your worries at the curb. Hits like "My Type" set the place off and songs like "Move" off the new album pulsed with groovy goodness. Being a drummer, I enjoyed Greg's clean, but hard-hitting style and AJ had an unbroken connection to the crowd all night long.

If you haven't been to the Belsaco, it's beautiful. If haven't seen Saint Motel, you should. Make sure to catch them when they hit your town, you won't be sorry. Tell them HEX sent you.
